The AHRC Development Award

Background:

The AHRC Development Award is a project led by Dr Rana Jawad in collaboration with MENASP network partners. The 12 month grant from the Arts and Humanities Research Council will fund a strategic programme of network development activities in the MENA region. These include building strategic partnerships in the region, research capacity building and spin-off research activities.

The main activities of the AHRC Development Award are:

  1. A stakeholder mapping and extensive desk review on conflict prevention in MENA a series of workshops organised around three streams:
  • A workshop in Dubai in 2020 to review Network strategies and develop equitable partnership protocols such as: Safeguarding and inclusion in the contexts of conflict, Consultation on research objectives and network approach, Enhancing interdisciplinary engagement

The workshop will be hosted by the British Council UAE.
