Call for Expressions of Interest: MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship on Labour Migration and Social Protection

The MENASP Network at the School of Social Policy and Society, University of Birmingham, together with the ILO STREAM Programme, invites expressions of interest from outstanding postdoctoral researchers interested in developing a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) proposal under the Horizon Europe framework.

The fellowship will focus on the research theme:

Social Protection and Labour Migration along South–South Corridors to the GCC

The initiative seeks applicants working on labour migration, social protection, wage protection systems, and migrant rights — particularly within the South Asia–GCC corridor. Successful candidates will receive mentorship and technical support to develop a competitive MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship proposal through the University of Birmingham’s internal selection process. The fellowship also includes the possibility of a six-month visiting scholar secondment at an ILO office or partner institution within the South Asia–GCC corridor. Researchers from relevant disciplines including migration studies, social policy, sociology, labour law, development studies, anthropology, economics, and public policy are encouraged to apply.
